Webinar recording available - Storytelling for impact: Creating a storytelling program for patient partners in research

On 26 November, the fourth in this year’s series of International PPI Network and Cochrane Learning Live webinars was presented by Leah Getchell and Teresa Atkinson who talked about the importance of storytelling in healthcare. In particular, the co-creation of a storytelling programme with patient partners in Canada.

Patient partners are increasingly being asked to ‘share their story’ within health care and research settings. But there are not many resources to support them in preparing their stories in a way that will be impactful to different audiences. The Canadians Seeking Solutions and Innovations to Overcome Chronic Kidney Disease (Can-SOLVE CKD) aimed to address this gap by creating a virtual training programme, Storytelling for Impact.

In this webinar, Leah and Teresa explored the successes and learnings from the creation of this programme and the importance of inclusive involvement.
