Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before you start to use the site: by using the site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them.

Please note that in order to ensure that resources on the International PPI Network (“the Network”) website can be shared in a way that acknowledges their original source, our default licensing for resources is Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

Please ensure before submitting a resource that this license is appropriate to your material and that you own or have permission to use and share in this way all material included in your resource.

If you do not agree to these terms of use, you must not use the site.

Other applicable terms
These terms of use refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to your use of the site:
-
The Privacy Policy, which sets out the terms on which any personal data collected from you will be processed. By using the site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate. It also sets out information about the use of cookies on the site.
Accessing the site
The Network does not guarantee that the site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to the site is permitted on a temporary basis. The Network may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of the site without notice. The Network will not be liable to you if for any reason the site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the site.

Registration and passwords
From time to time, the Network may restrict access to some parts of the site, or the entire site, to users who have registered with it.

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of the site’s security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

The Network has the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by the Network, at any time, if in its reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms & Conditions.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify the site administrator at k.s.porter@soton.ac.uk.

Changes to the site
The Network may update the site from time to time and may change the content at any time. However, please note that any of the content on the site may be out of date at any given time, and the Network is under no obligation to update it.

The Network does not guarantee that the site, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions.

No reliance on information
Although the Network endeavours to use reasonable care in generating, compiling, publishing and providing content on the site, content is often provided by third parties. All content on the site is therefore provided for general information only and must not be relied on alone. The use and interpretation of the content requires specialist skill and knowledge. To use the content, you must have the required skill and knowledge, and exercise appropriate judgement, or obtain such specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on the site.

The Network disclaims all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on any content by you or any third party that may be informed of such content.

Although the Network makes reasonable efforts to update the information on the site, it makes no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on the site is accurate, complete or up to date.

Intellectual property rights
The Network is the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the site, and in the content published on it. Those works are protected by intellectual property laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

You must not use any content in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on the Network’s part where none exists.

You must not use any trademarks, logos, illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying, unmodified text.

The status of the Network (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of the content on the site must always be acknowledged.

You must not use any part of the content on the site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from the Network or its licensors.

If you use any content in breach of these Terms & Conditions, your right to use the site will cease immediately and you must, at the Network’s option, return or destroy any copies of the content you have made.

The Network’s liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Network excludes all conditions, warranties, representations or other terms which may apply to the site or any content on it, whether express or implied.
The Network will not be liable to any user for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:

-

use of or reliance on any content displayed on the site;
-
loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue;

Please note that the site is only provided for education and other non-commercial purposes. You agree not to use the site for any commercial or business purposes.

The Network will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the site or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.

The Network assumes no responsibility for the content of websites linked on the site. Such links should not be interpreted as endorsement by the Network of those linked websites. The Network will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
You undertake to make no claim in connection with the site against any employee, student, agent or appointee of the Network (apart from claims based on fraud or deliberate default).
The interactive services must not be used by any minor.

Where the Network does moderate an interactive service, it will normally provide you with a means of contacting the moderator, should a concern or difficulty arise.

The Network will be entitled to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content posted or uploaded by you to the site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
