Community guidelines for article writers & bloggers

We are looking for content that pioneers discussions on hot topics, shares best practices and tips, or tells your stories and case studies relating to patient and public involvement in research. We encourage bloggers to encourage debate and discussion. However, when writing a blog for the International PPI Network website, you are agreeing to abide by the following guidelines. Although we will do our utmost to avoid this, the Network Planning Group reserves the right to delete, move or alter blogs written by members if they are deemed to violate these guidelines.

We ask that you:

  • Don't re-publish blog articles that were previously posted elsewhere. If you wish to re-purpose a blog that you have written elsewhere, make sure you tailor the content to the Network.

  • Don’t include anything that contains any material that is abusive, vulgar, obscene, hateful, fraudulent, unlawful, threatening, or harassing towards any person.

  • Don’t defame others.

  • Be respectful to others.

  • Don’t post any material which may be discriminatory or cause offence on the grounds of an individual’s sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability or working status.

  • Don’t impersonate anyone else.

  • Get approval from the Principal Investigator or activity lead if you are writing about a research project or activity that you are involved with or a team member of. You will need to provide us with written approval of the Principal Investigator or activity lead via email.
